Making paper flowers using FabScraps Flower Kit and X-Press It Adhesives with Anne Patterson

Hi it is Anne here and I am happy to share with you a fabulous page I have made using the Fab Scraps Easy Peasy Paper Roses and X-Press it adhesives.

They come in a range of different colours to suite almost any project, but of course they work REALLY well with the Fab Scraps paper ranges.

Step 1.  Punch out three of the same size flower (setting the centre aside).  Ink the edges if desired.

Step 2.  Cut a slit down one of the flowers, cut out one petal from one flower and two petals from the third.

3.  Using X-Press It double sided tape, adhere two petals of the flower together, so it is now a five petaled flower (creating a cone shape).

4. Repeat this process with your other two flowers, creating a 4 petal and 3 petal flower cone.

5. Taking  a skewer, roll the petals of your flowers.

6.  Using X-Press It Clear Gel, glue one of the centres into your five petaled flower.

7. Now glue the four petaled flower into the center of the five petaled flower.

 8. Add the three petaled flower into the center of the four petaled flower.

9. Take the two petals and one petal you cut out earlier, and curl and glue into the center of the flower.

9.  Repeat this process until you have the number of flowers you desire.

10.  Take out the leaves.

11. I have chosen to add some stitching detail to the leaves.

12.  Now you have finished your flowers and can use them in any way you wish on your project.

Products I have used in my project are:

X-Press It Double-Sided Tape 6mm
X-Press It Double-Sided Tape 12mm
X-Press It Clear Gel Glue
FabScraps Shabbylicious Patterned Paper
FabScraps Pink Flamingos Patterned Paper
FabScraps Easy Peasy Paper Roses
FabScaps Die-Cut Chipboard Word Trouble
Here is my finished page.

I hope you can see how EASY PEASY this is and give them a go.

Mask It Art with Tarrah...

Hi everyone!!

It's Tarrah here with you today to share a cool project that I have been working on using some of the awesome X-Press It products including the fabulous Mask It! I created a canvas and used some different coloured mists with the Mask It.

What I love about the Mask It is that it has markings already on
the backing sheet to cut to your desired size, in my case I cut long strips of it.

I adhered the strips of Mask It down, and with a ruler,
I measured the exact width of the Mask It to allow for the space in between each piece and then adhered the next and so on...I then used the mists in a few different colours to achieve this look...

I then started to embellish my newly masked canvas by using my favourite glue, the X-Press It Clear Gel Glue and the fabulous FabScraps Heritage Fleur Frame..

I cut the Fleur Frame in half and also cut the Fleur De Lis Off each end of the frame...

I adhered the Fleur Frame with the Clear Gel Glue and I adhered the
paper doily with the X-Press It High Tack Tape

I also adhered the photo and the printable down with the High Tack Tape also..

I used a flower and some glitter alphabets and some
FabScraps Jewel Embellishments to finish off my Mask It canvas

A bit of the close up detail....

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Mask It Canvas project today, it was super easy to use the X-Press It Mask It product to create a pretty canvas, so why don't you give it a try?

Thanks so much for joining me on the X-Press It blog today, happy creating..

Red Means Strong

Probably the most annoying thing with off the page projects is that if you choose the wrong adhesive all of your hard work can be let down when the project warps or pieces come undone....

In putting these Christmas Decorations together I used X-Press It TripleTac to adhere paper to chipboard, but when it came to securing the main seam the angles prevented using wet glue... the perfect solution was X-Press It Double Sided High Tack Tape, nothing budges this tape, it's flexible too, so easy to get into and around grooves!!

It is important to save it for the tough jobs, so make note (if you haven't already) that the High Tack X-Press It Products carry RED badging, as opposed to the standard blue badging.  No need to keep them in their packaging to understand which tape is which, just rely on the inner badging as seen above... and of course the super powers of this fabby adhesive!!Pin It
